Sweating in human beings is known as perspiration and is done automatically as a thermoregulation mechanism. When temperatures rises thermo-sensitive neurons in a region of the brain called hypothalamus stimulates the sweat glands which secret small amount of solute. Emotionally induced perspiration occurs at the palms, soles and armpits while physically induced perspiration occurs throughout the body.
