Difference between Paternal and Maternal Twins?

The difference between maternal and paternal twins is determined by the fertilization and number of the eggs. The difference is that Identical twins come from the similar egg while fraternal from two dissimilar eggs. This is brought about by the zygote consisting of two haploid sets of chromosomes bearing genes indicating the maternal and paternal family ranks.
